Grayson Featured in NBC5 Piece on ‘Sneaky Sugar’ in Foods

(JANUARY 4, 2024) NBC5 reported on a recent presentation by Andrea Grayson, Ed.D., M.A., assistant professor of public health and author of "The Sweet Tooth Dilemma," about how to avoid hidden sugars in foods.

(JANUARY 4, 2024) NBC5 reported on a recent presentation by Andrea Grayson, Ed.D., M.A., assistant professor of public health at the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine and author of The Sweet Tooth Dilemma (Create Change Lab LLC, 2023), about how to avoid hidden sugars in foods.

Grayson was the keynote speaker at an event held at The Edge Sports & Fitness in South Burlington, where she emphasized the bottom line that sugar is addictive. As the subtitle of her book states: “Sugar is seductive, dangerous, and hard to quit.”

Focusing on a keto diet is a method of cutting out sugar more. And centering your meals around proteins, fats, and fibers, especially in the morning, will help control your blood sugar levels throughout the day, she said.
