• Residency specialty updates:
  • Dermatology - APD: AAMC wants to make you aware that the Association of Professors of Dermatology (APD) have released guidance regarding the 2021-2022 residency application cycle. 
  • Emergency Medicine: AAMC wants to make you aware that a consensus statement on the 2021-2022 Emergency Medicine Residency Application Cycle is now available. 
  • Leadership of APPD, COMSEP, CoPS, AMSPDC, @FuturePedsReds, and Next Gen Pediatricians have issued additional recommendations regarding in-person second looks and other in-person visits for the 2021-2022 Residency/Fellowship recruitment cycle.
  • AAIM: The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) released interview guidance for the 2021-2022 residency application season and guidelines for the Internal Medicine Structured Evaluative Letter (IMSEL).
  • AOA: The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA)’s Council of Orthopaedic Residency Directors (CORD) has issued recommended guidelines on the 2021-22 residency recruitment cycle.
  • The above recommendations are also listed on the ERAS 2022 Participating Specialties and Programs webpage and in the ‘ERAS Specialties with Additional Information Report’ (located at the top of the page). Refer to this page throughout the season, as this page will be updated as specialty requirements are shared. If you learn of new requirements that are not included on the ERAS page, please send them to Amy Addams.
• Radiation Oncology Virtual Education Rotations (ROVER) for medical students (virtual clerkship)*: Begins 6/25 @3pm, via Zoom with Gastrointestinal Malignancies (pre-sign-up required). This interactive summer series of virtual case-based discussion sessions across cancer disease sub-sites.
