Migraine—the leading cause of disability for adults under the age of 50 worldwide, with its prevalence peaking during working years—is a complex neurological disease, not just a headache. It causes various symptoms like nausea, light sensitivity, and cognitive issues. Multiple options are available for treatment and prevention. Newer medications with fewer side effects and non-invasive approaches like acupuncture are showing promise.
