Trishnee Bhurosy, PhD

UVM Cancer Center, Cancer Population Science Member, Trishnee Bhurosy, Ph.D., was recently accepted into the inaugural Peer Review Academy of the Society of Behavioral Medicine. The Peer Review Academy trains early-career scientists in the art of peer review through hands-on experience and professional networking. After completing the program, participants are given priority for a coveted position on one of the journal’s editorial boards.

An Assistant Professor of Nutrition, Bhurosy’s research focuses on nutrition security for cancer patients. Her story was recently featured by the UVM Cancer Center and can be viewed here. Bhurosy is excited to add this accolade to her list of accomplishments and hopes the experience will provide her with the necessary skills such as assessing the fit of different manuscripts for publications, handling ethical issues in publishing, networking with senior editors in behavioral medicine, and enhancing her scholarly reputation and visibility.
