(DECEMBER 12, 2023) Linda Klumpers, Ph.D., M.Sc., research assistant professor of pharmacology, founded Cannify to offer educational information on the advantages and risks of consuming cannabis, based on science, according to Green Mountain Cannabis News.

As people become more exposed to cannabis, she said, health risks associated with incorrect cannabis use are an increasing issue. “There needed to be an objective educational platform … [given the] lack of objective and actionable cannabis advice.”

Cannify offers a free online quiz that allows participants to enter symptoms and personal characteristics in the quiz and then get information—customized to adapt to local rules and regulations as well as products specific to the local market—about the scientific literature, available products, and recommended administration methods.

Klumpers said the quiz has been used by various audiences, including manufacturers, dispensaries, patients, and health care providers. Media websites have taken information from the quiz to educate readers.
