MacAfee, OB-GYN Residents Speak to VTDigger about Providing Abortions & Gender-Affirming Care in the Current Political Climate

(MAY 17, 2023) Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences Lauren MacAfee, M.D., and three doctors who are midway through their four-year OB-GYN residencies at the University of Vermont Medical Center spoke to VTDigger about the challenges of being on the front lines of providing abortions and gender-affirming care in the current political climate.

(MAY 17, 2023) Doctors Gnendy Indig, Sarah McShane, and Mackenzie Delzer, who are midway through their four-year OB-GYN residencies at the University of Vermont Medical Center, and Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences Lauren MacAfee, M.D., spoke to David Goodman of VTDigger about the challenges of being on the front lines of providing abortions and gender-affirming care in the current political climate. “We all are trying to do everything we can … in a safe state like Vermont to be a beacon of light and hope for other states,” MacAfee said.
