  • Part Time Job Opportunity!: Looking to make some extra money while in medical school? Hi everyone, I'm moving out of Vermont and thus the family I was working with as a caregiver is looking for more people to take care of their son who is 26yrs old, has Angelman Syndrome and needs total assistance with all activities of daily living. They are in South Burlington about 10 min drive from LCOM campus. The shifts are about 6.5 hours each and split into morning and evening. Some weekend shifts are available. This is an official paid position that you will get a 1099 to report on taxes as well. This is a home and community-based position with full training provided. They provide a handicapped vehicle that you can use for transportation with the client. This is a position for self-motivated, responsible, caring individuals. Activities can include swimming in a heated pool in the backyard, bike riding on electric bikes, going to live music events, socializing in the community, and down time at home. You must be willing to change the diaper on a smaller adult. Transferring from chair to wheelchair with assistance from either family or co-workers is also required. Excellent wage. Please email Kathleen O'Brien and you can reference me in your email. Please share with others that might be interested as well! If you have any questions about the job, you can text me on 978-876-7765. Shubhankar Joshi, MD Class of 2025

Housing Opportunities

Graduate students are highly sought tenants in the Burlington area and property owners often advertise specifically to them with special rates (less than would be offered to undergraduate students). Don't hesitate to ask housing contacts if they would consider lowering the advertised rate to secure a graduate student; it never hurts to ask!
