Research and Evaluation

At VCHIP, we conduct research and evaluation of healthcare delivery systems to improve maternal and child health outcomes. We study the impact of healthcare reform efforts and interventions within primary care, obstetrics, pediatric specialties, and other healthcare settings.

VCHIP’s health services research team contributes to the "learning health system" by analyzing data and disseminating results about the use, quality, accessibility, delivery, structure, and outcomes of maternal and child healthcare across Vermont.

In health care and mental health systems, stakeholders want to know what aspects of the programs they are funding or implementing are working well and which aspects need to be changed.
