Health Services Research and Evaluation
The HSR team is in a unique position to inform primary care practice by sharing the impact of local practice change on the larger system of healthcare in Vermont and by disseminating findings nationally on healthcare transformation.
The overall objective of the HSR team at VCHIP is to contribute to the "learning health system" by analyzing data and disseminating results about the use, costs, quality, accessibility, delivery, structure and outcomes of maternal and child healthcare in Vermont.
The goal of the Health Services Research (HSR) team is to identify important research questions from VCHIP projects and write manuscripts and posters for peer-reviewed publication. Read more about the recent projects.
The main goal of program evaluation is to systematically gather and assess information that provides useful feedback about a program or some aspect of a program. In health care and mental health systems, stakeholders want to know what aspects of the programs they are funding or implementing are working well and which aspects need to be changed.
