Vermont Regional Perinatal Health Project (VRPHP)

In November of 2007, the Vermont Regional Perinatal Program (VRPP) became part of the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP), a health services research and quality improvement program of the University of Vermont. Under VCHIP, the quality improvement activities of the Network for Improving Newborn Care were combined with the educational and training activities of VRPP to form the Vermont Regional Perinatal Health Project (VRPHP).

The mission of VRPHP is to be a high-quality academic health care resource for education, skills competencies and quality improvement in perinatal health care. We partner with the Vermont Department of Health, community hospitals and multi-disciplinary teams of health care professionals to facilitate timely, effective and patient-centered perinatal health care in a rural setting.
