Maija Reblin, Ph.D. appointed co-leader for the UVM Cancer Center’s Cancer Control and Population Health Sciences program

Maija Reblin, Ph.D. will join Brian Sprague, Ph.D. as the co-leader for the UVM Cancer Center’s Cancer Control and Population Health Sciences program. In this new capacity, Dr. Reblin will serve on the UVM Cancer Center senior leadership team (along with program leaders Marc Greenblatt, M.D. and Seth Frietze, Ph.D. (Molecular Mechanisms of Malignancy) and Jane Lian, Ph.D. and Peter Kaufman, M.D.(Host Factors and Tumor Progression)). 

Dr. Reblin is an Associate Professor in the College of Medicine and member of the Vermont Conversation Lab. Trained as a social and health psychologist, her research focuses on understanding the social context of family caregivers of those with serious illness and using this knowledge to develop strengths-based interventions

“I am excited to join Dr. Sprague and the other Cancer Center senior leaders. I’m looking forward to developing relationships with CCPHS researchers and working together to prevent and reduce the effects of cancer,” said Dr. Reblin.
