The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine trains world class scientists and educators to investigate the interaction of chemical substances with biological systems, allowing for scientific applications in a clinical setting.

Research interests are diverse, with special emphasis on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular pharmacology, physiology, neurovascular coupling, signal transduction, and medicinal chemistry/cancer chemotherapy. We educate medical students, graduate students, post-doctoral trainees and undergraduates, giving ample opportunities for interaction with faculty researchers.  In addition to offering a Doctorate in Pharmacology, we now offer a Minor in Pharmacology for undergraduates.

Our research facilities and educational resources are located in the vibrant city of Burlington on Lake Champlain-- a setting that combines all the advantages of a lively downtown just a few minutes' ride from the beautiful Vermont countryside. We invite you to explore our web site and see all our department has to offer.
