Cell Signaling Research

Ramos Bio

I am presently working in mesothelioma, trying to establish genetic biomarkers for the early diagnostic of the disease. Also, dissecting the cell signaling pathways that lead to the increase of Fra-1 transcription factor during the development of the mesothelioma process from the time of exposure to asbestos to the actual establish cancer. Finally, we are doing a comparative study between the signaling events that followed asbestos exposure with those of SV40 that leads to the development of mesothelioma.
