The 22nd annual Jim Ray Memorial Heart Ride, held on Saturday, August 13, was just about perfect—sunny skies, calm conditions in the morning and a tailwind headed home, cool but not cold temps, a beautiful 122-mile route that almost always had a water view, and great friends spending the entire day outdoors.
Co-founder's Mark Ray and Steve Gronlund along with a dedicated crew, ride to honor Mark's dad Jim Ray—an avid cyclist who died of heart disease at age 64—plus Mark’s grandfather; Steve’s grandmother, grandfather, and uncle; other family members and friends; and the millions impacted by heart disease and stroke.
Please consider donating in their honor (or someone you love who has been impacted by heart disease) directly to the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at give.uvmhealth.org/MarkRay. Your heartfelt generosity keeps them going!
During the past two decades, they have raised more than $200,000 to support heart disease research and education at the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI).
