Jordan Baker is 5 months old. She lives in Burlington, VT and has spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She spends her days smiling at her mom and playing with toys. She is an absolute joy to all who meet her. December 2000

Friends Forever - Shelby Lavigne & Madi. Shelby lives in North Montpelier, VT. She was a preemie and has multiple shunts to manage her hydro. Her days are filled with playing "peek-a-boo", joking with her sister and watching her favorite TV shows. Shelby has had 3 shunt surgeries to place 3 separate shunts. December 1999.

At the Hydrocephalus Association's 2000 Conference: Michelle Lavigne, Greg Tocco and Debra Jaurigue. Greg is the founder and director of The Hydrocephalus Foundation, Inc. in Saugus, Massachusetts. He has acquired hydrocephalus from a baseball accident at age 13, and has undergone 22 shunt revision surgeries

Donna was diagnosed "in-utero" with hydrocephalus. Fortunately, her CSF is draining on it's own and she has not needed a shunt placement. Yeah! She is missing 2 other parts of her brain and receives physical and occupational therapy. Donna is a very happy and active little girl.

At the Hydrocephalus Association's 2000 Conference: Michelle Lavigne, Kellie Robinson (co-author of "Hydrocephalus: A Guide for Patients, Families & Friends") and Debra Jaurigue. Kellie has acquired hydrocephalus from a brain tumor and is effected by seizures. She and her husband, Chuck Toporek, have paved the way for families to learn more about hydrocephalus and talk about it openly." May 2000.
