 The Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine combines strong, synergistic interdisciplinary complementary and alternative medicine research (CAM), an integrated curriculum incorporating CAM throughout medical education, and innovative network-based clinical initiatives bridging CAM and conventional medicine.
UVM’s strength in primary care, location in a largely rural state and affiliation with Maine Medical Center make it a model for the development of integrative medicine programs for rural areas, where the need and the impact on underserved populations is critical.
