Welcome to the world of COMET, our online College Of Medicine Education Tools. Within this site, you will find the basics of what you need to know to build lessons in COMET.
If you want to get started on your COMET course, just call us, e-mail us, or stop by. Click the Contact Us link for details.
There are aspects of COMET that are required under the Vermont Integrated Curriculum (VIC), including contact information, course schedule, lectures in PowerPoint and gradebook. COMET lab developers will help you post those basic COMET components and teach you to use COMET tools to create others, like discussion boards, assessments and interactivity.
Beyond the VIC requirements, COMET offers a full menu of multimedia development. The lab can build animations, virtual reality models, QuickTime movies, interactive documents, interactive case studies or other online learning tools. Click here to see samples of multimedia learning.
Please take some time to familiarize yourself with this site. In addition to specific COMET material, it contains resources on using online learning and copyright issues in the digital world.
