Primary Care Behavioral Health (formerly Transforming Primary Care) returned to a one-day schedule to enhance clinicians’ capacity to treat some of the most challenging clinical cases presented in primary care.

Activities kicked off on Thursday, September 27, with a pre-conference workshop on motivational interviewing with Stephen Andrew, LCSW, Chief Energizing Officer at the Health Education & Training Institute in Portland, ME. The full-day workshop, which provided an outstanding opportunity for participants to train in basic MI skills, filled up quickly and was well-received. Learn more about HETI and Stephen Andrew.

On Friday, September 28, the conference featured talks from the University of Vermont and community experts including “Integrated Care for New American Families” with Cathy Kelley, LICSW, Social Work Care Coordinator at The University of Vermont Medical Center, and Adam Greenlee, MD, physician at Community Health Centers of Burlington.
