Biological and Biomedical Sciences Graduate Training Program
Graduate studies in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Vermont College of Medicine offer comprehensive and specialized training leading to a Ph.D. or M.S. degree in the cellular and molecular mechanisms of physiological function and disease. A combined Ph.D./M.D. option is also available. Students are prepared for a variety of career options in academic, biotechnology, clinical, and pharmaceutical settings through programs and interactions with leading researchers on the University of Vermont faculty, professionals at Fletcher-Allen Health Care, and various private and industrial partners. A major focus of the training program is to ensure that graduates have the tools and skills needed to succeed in the myriad of research and management opportunities available in the biomedical and basic research marketplaces.
