Ross Colgate, Ph.D., M.P.H., assistant professor of microbiology and molecular genetics.

(DECEMBER 14, 2021) A Burlington Free Press article about Chittenden County, Vt. building projects mentioned the Firestone Medical Research Building currently under construction on the UVM campus.

(DECEMBER 13, 2021) A visit to UVM's Larner College of Medicine by Class of 1995 alum Mitchell Wolfe, M.D., M.P.H., chief medical officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), was covered widely by regional media.

(NOVEMBER 24, 2021) Jan Carney, M.D., M.P.H., associate dean for public health and health policy, and Mark Levine, M.D., Vermont Commissioner of Health and professor of medicine, are both quoted in an article in The Atlantic, titled "America’s Pandemic Star Loses Some Luster," regarding the surge in COVID-19 cases in Vermont.

(OCTOBER 15, 2021) Tim Lahey, M.D., M.M.Sc., professor of medicine, authored a "First Opinion" column, titled "Feeling guilty about getting a booster shot? Here’s something you can do." The piece explores the fact that some people are reluctant to receive a booster shot due to vaccine equity issues.

(OCTOBER 6, 2021) Local CBS affiliate WCAX-TV Channel 3 aired a story previewing the UVM Larner College of Medicine's medical Class of 2025's October 8 White Coat Ceremony that featured interviews with Dean Richard L. Page, M.D., Interim Assistant Dean for Students Mariah McNamara, M.D., and Class of 2025 medical students Justin Henninsen and Gabriela Sarriera Valentin.

(SEPTEMBER 30, 2021) Several Vermont media outlets covered the ceremonial groundbreaking event hosted by UVM's Larner College of Medicine to celebrate the four-story, 62,500-square-foot Firestone Medical Research Building currently under construction at the College.
