Burlington Free Press Reports Three Larner Faculty Joining UVMHN Board

(JANUARY 28, 2025) Three Larner College of Medicine faculty members—Dragos Banu, M.D., Sarah Harm, M.D., M.S., and Heidi Melbostad, Ph.D., M.A., M.S.—have joined the UVM Health Network Board of Trustees, the Burlington Free Press reports.

(JANUARY 28, 2025) Three Larner College of Medicine faculty members—Dragos Banu, M.D., Sarah Harm, M.D., M.S., and Heidi Melbostad, Ph.D., M.A., M.S.—have joined the UVM Health Network Board of Trustees, the Burlington Free Press reports.

Banu is an assistant professor of medicine at UVM and division chief of primary care for multiple hospitals within the UVM Health Network. He currently practices general internal medicine at Adult Primary Care in Essex and previously served as clinical chief community practice and medical director of long-term care and rehabilitation medicine at Alice Hyde Medical Center.

Harm is an associate professor and network vice chair of laboratory medicine in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UVM. She is an expert in transfusion medicine and leads integration of laboratory medicine services across UVM Health Network.

Heidi Melbostad serves as chief executive officer of Mountain Community Health, a federally qualified health center in Bristol dedicated to improving health outcomes and reducing disparities in the region. She is also a research assistant professor at the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health in the Department of Psychiatry at UVM, where she collaborates on behavioral pharmacology research.
