Molly Barry, MD
The UVM Cancer Center is proud to announce that Molly Barry, MD will assume the role of Executive Director for the Women's Health and Cancer Conference beginning August 19. Dr. Barry is a medical oncologist at the UVM Medical Center where she practices head and neck and GI oncology. Her research interests include medical education, mentorship, and supportive care.
Dr. Barry has served as faculty co-chair of the planning committee for the past two years. Now in its 27th year, the conference brings together patients, clinicians, caregivers, and community members from across Vermont, New York, and beyond for a unique day of learning.
"The Women's Health and Cancer Conference is special because patients and providers learn side-by-side. Patients and their caregivers are critical members of the care team and this community event provides opportunities for connection and diverse learning for everyone," said Dr. Barry. "It is an honor to step in to this role. I am excited to continue to expand our understanding of cancer care today and explore, alongside our conference attendees, where research, treatment, and integrative care will take us in the future."
This year's conference, on Friday, September 20, will explore the theme of "Oncology and the Environment." Sponsored by the Patti O'Brien, MD Women's Health and Cancer Fund, the conference is free to attend and continuing medical education credits are offered at no charge.
