SURG 220 - Emergency Medicine Research II

Experienced EMRAP students obtain informed consent from human subjects in the Emergency Department and assist in training SURG 200 and 201 students as Chief Research Associates.

Pre-requisites: SURG 200, SURG 201, & instructor permission


  • Complete shifts in the emergency department consenting human subjects into a variety of clinical research studies
  • Fulfill leadership responsibilities as Chief Research Associate
  • Assist with research laboratory duties including blood processing
  • Become an EMRAP teaching assistant (TA)
