Dr. Janssen-Heininger obtained her BA/MS in 1988 from the University of Limburg in Maastricht, the Netherlands. In 1993 she was awarded a PhD from the same institution. She came to the University of Vermont in 1993 as a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Brooke Mossman PhD. She was subsequently recruited as an Assistant Professor in Pathology and Environmental Toxicology in 1997. She has published extensively in the field of inhalation toxicology. Dr. Janssen-Heininger is the responsible investigator for COBRE Project 2.
