COMIS Spam Filter Overview & Instructions
How does the COMIS Spam Filter work?
The system uses the Microsoft Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) to assess each incoming e-mail. IMF assigns each e-mail a Spam Confidence Level (SCL) score.
E-mail that is considered to be spam based on its SCL score will be delivered to your Junk E-mail folder in Outlook.
E-mail that is not considered to be spam based on its SCL score will be delivered to your Inbox folder in Outlook.
Future handling of e-mails based on the sender can be managed through the use of the Safe Senders List and the Blocked Senders List in Outlook. Each user manages their own Safe Senders List and Blocked Senders list.
E-mail delivered to your Junk E-mail folder will be automatically deleted after 60 days.
