AMA Journal of Ethics: Call for Papers

AMA Journal of Ethics Call for Papers is now open. They invite original manuscript submissions for peer review consideration on themes that will be explored in 2019 issues.
 
Call for Theme Issue Editors is now open through 1 October 2018. We invite medical students, residents, and fellows (MDs or DOs) in United States-based programs to apply to serve as theme issue editors for monthly issues to be published from December 2019 through November 2020.
 
They also invite original submissions in any visual medium that explores ethical dimensions of health or healthcare.

  • LaMantia Invested as Inaugural Holly and Bob Miller Chair in Memory and Aging

    More than 150 people gathered for a formal investiture ceremony honoring the University of Vermont’s newest endowed faculty members and recognizing the donors who made the positions possible on August 21, 2018 at the UVM Alumni House. Michael LaMantia, M.D., M.P.H., was invested as the inaugural Holly and Bob Miller Chair in Memory and Aging and Rosemary Dale, Ed.D., A.P.R.N., was invested as the first Holly and Bob Miller Professor in Nursing Leadership.

Essentials of Teaching and Assessment

A one-day, intensive course to introduce participants to the pedagogy, strategies, and resources for effective teaching and assessment. This event is open to all UVM College of Medicine faculty. This course is designed especially for faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdocs who are new to teaching. Registration is closed.
