On behalf of the Department of Pathology it is my pleasure to welcome you to our web site.

The Department excels in our three primary missions of patient care, research and teaching.  In fullfilling these missions, we seek to create and maintain an environment that respects individuals, accepts change, values teamwork and demands a commitment to academic excellence. 

We rank in the upper third of Pathology Departments nationally for research funding with established programs in Environmental and Cardiovascular Pathology.  Our teaching is regularly recognized for excellence by our medical students.  Our residents and fellows find challenging jobs across the country in private practice and academia.  Finally, and most importantly, the success of the Department grows from the unwavering commitment of our faculty to excellence in patient care.
