NIH "Environmental Pathology Training Grant" (BT Mossman, Director)
PHS T32 ESO7122-15. Period: 07/01/82 - 06/30/11
The major goal of this project is to provide graduate training in environmental pathology. Seven predoctoral and two postdoctoral positions are funded annually.

"EGFR Signalling Pathways by Particulates in Lung Disease"
NIH 1R01 ES09213-01. Period: 9/30/97 - 09/29/02
The major goals of this work are to determine if interaction of asbestos fibers with lung epithelial cells is through the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor, which then triggers MAPK activity and apoptosis.

NIH "Molecular Regulation of Transcriptional Competence by Metals" (A. Barchowsky = PI) (Subcontract)
1 R01 ES10638-01A1. Period: 09/01/01 - 7/31/06
The overall objective of the study is to define the molecular signaling mechanisms through which noncytotoxic concentrations of chromium alter inducible cytokine and profibrotic gene expression in airway epithelial cells.

"Signaling in Epithelial Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman = Proj. Director)
NIH PO1 HL6767004-01. Period: 06/01/01 - 03/31/06 TDC
Project 1: "MAPK Signaling in Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman, Project Leader) "Signaling in Epithelial Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman = Proj. Director)

NIH PO1 HL6767004-01. Period: 06/01/01 - 03/31/06 TDC
Project 3: "Protein Kinase C and MAPK in Epithelial Responses" (B. Mossman, Project Leader)

"Signaling in Epithelial Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman = Proj. Director)
NIH PO1 HL6767004-01. Period: 06/01/01 - 03/31/06 TDC
Core A: "Administration Core" (B. Mossman = Core Leader; P. Vacek = Co-Investigator)

"Signaling in Epithelial Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman = Proj. Director)
NIH PO1 HL6767004-01. Period: 06/01/01 - 03/31/06 TDC
Core B: "Inhalation/Transgenic Mouse Cores" (D. Hemenway, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering & M. Rincon, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine = Core Leaders)

"Signaling in Epithelial Injury, Proliferation and Fibrosis" (B. Mossman = Proj. Director)
NIH PO1 HL6767004-01. Period: 06/01/01 - 03/31/06 TDC
Core C: "Cell Imaging and Analysis" (D. Taatjes, Ph.D. = Core Leader)
