The event will take place in the Barcelona Ballroom, which is located on the second floor of the hotel; the Majorca Room is the breakout room, this room is located on the first floor of the hotel (there will be signage for both). 

 

Meeting Overview:

Attendees at the 2017 NIPN Annual Meeting will participate in real-world, hands-on training and tolls in program development and sustainability, including focused content on conducting quality improvement activities in primary care settings. Sessions are tailored towards issues of interest for IP leaders and partners, QI coaches, practice facilitators, and data analysts.

Please do not forget to bring a sweater or wrap as conference rooms tend to be chilly.

Who Should Attend?:

IP leaders, IP partners/stakeholders, quality improvement coaching staff, and program managers; non-IP professionals who oversee and/or conduct quality improvement activities in primary care practice settings that serve children may also attend.

 

Keynote Speaker: J.E. Jamal Martín, PhD, MPH, BA; Topic: Social Determinants of Health

KeynoteSpeaker_NIPN17J.E. Jamal Martín has clinical and academic experience in nursing, medicine, and public health. He has taught interdisciplinary studies and carried out clinical research in public health practice and epidemiology in local, national, and international settings. Educated at the New School for Social Research, he completed his undergraduate degree at Hawaii Pacific College and graduate degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He received postgraduate training in epidemiology through the University of Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Following completion of his doctorate at the University of New Mexico, he briefly studied at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Poster Symposium:

Oral Presentation Guidelines

Oral sessions: 2 minutes for presentation targeted to the theme of the conference (Dissemination and Implementation).  What are the mechanisms you use for data collection, and staffing/coaching to disseminate and implement your work?

 

Please note: You will be required to provide your presentation on a USB 3 weeks prior to conference (deadline 10/23/17) to Terri Chauvet).

  • Maximum poster surface area is 2 X 3 ft  (please be careful of your font size, must be able to read)
  • Removal and collection of posters at the end of the display period remains the responsibility of the author(s).
  • Posters not removed by the indicated take down time will be removed and disposed of by meeting staff
