Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3) Laboratory and Inhalation Facility
A new BSL3 core facility has just been constructed at our nearby Colchester Research Facility campus in collaboration with the Department of Health Labs. This will provide space for the study of BSL3 organisms by Immunobiology / COBRE faculty, including initially hantaviruses, Burkholderia, and H5N1 influenza A. A newly constructed Inhalation Facility has also been completed with combined funds from the Dean’s Office of the College of Medicine and an ARRA supplement to the Vermont Center for Immunology and Infectious Diseases COBRE grant.
