He composed a Commencement processional, titled "Vermont Passacaglia," as a gift to the Larner College of Medicine the year he graduated, and it was played live at his Commencement by a New England Conservatory brass quintet. Recently, a brass quintet comprised of UVM music students and local musicians recorded the piece in UVM’s Recital Hall. The recording will be played as the processional in May & for many Commencement ceremonies to come.
