The United States Department of Defense recently highlighted a research study by UVM Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine which takes a look at the role of exosomes in the development of mesothelioma. This research could help doctors with detecting asbestos-related exosomes in the blood of patients with known asbestos exposures to help diagnose mesothelioma early.
