Medicaid / Care at Home Program

The Care at Home (OMRDD) Program's goal is to provide financial assistance to families with children living at home who have a severe disability or Medical condition. This OMRDD "Waiver Program" allows Medicaid to pay for some services not normally provided through "regular" Medicaid including: case management, respite, nutrition counseling, respiration therapy, medical social services, and home adaptation services. Parental income and resources are not considered when determining the child's eligibility for Medicaid. Only the income and resources of the child are considered. These Medicaid Waiver benefits can be used as secondary insurance coverage, and defray the costs of caring for children at home and for copayments.
