Ronald McDonald House of Burlington
16 South Winooski Avenue
Burlington , Vermont 05401

"This is the house that provides the home, that
cooks the meals, that sleeps the people, that dries the tears. This is
the house that LOVE built."
The Ronald McDonald House is for families whose
children are being treated for serious illnesses at the hospital. The
hope is that the house will be your "home away from home". This House
was made possible by the support of the local McDonald's restaurants,
First Congregations Church, and donations from the community.
The House is intended to be a quiet place of refuge
and relaxation after a day at the hospital, a place where parents can
meet and share their concerns and experience with each other. Each
family is asked to donate $10.00 per night. If you are unable to donate
money, other arrangements can be made. The House time is limited to two
weeks per stay. This limit may be waived at the staff's discretion.
Your children are welcome at the Ronald McDonald House -- in fact, it's
encouraged. There is a wonderful playroom, TV room linens, washers and
dryers etc. at the house. It is a true "home away from home". Call Pam
Fenimore (the house manager) to make reservations or to see if there
are rooms available. The Staff and volunteers are wonderful people who
will make your stay very pleasant and heart warming!
