The UVM Campus
At UVM, we encourage our students to find a balance between working hard
and relaxing. Our location on campus of the state's flagship university
in one of the country's "most livable cities" provides students with a
wealth of educational and recreational opportunities.
The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont is centrally
located within the 450-acre main campus of the University of Vermont. Our students experience the full range of attractions and
activities befitting the state's flagship university.
The College is located on the campus of the University of Vermont and is physically connected to our academic medical center partners The University of Vermont Medical Center, and the College of Nursing & Health Sciences. Thanks to that physical closeness, our students experience the benefit of collaboration and connections unique to an academic medical center.
Our students have very diverse interests both inside and outside of the classroom, ranging from playing music in local clubs and rock climbing to club sports and, of course, taking advantage of the winter recreational opportunities Vermont has to offer. Medical students also have access to a wealth of UVM campus facilities and events including:
- Davis Student Center offers great food and even better coffee.
- Gutterson Athletic Campus - a short walk from the medical school, which offers a fitness center, swimming pool, ice rink, climbing wall, tennis and squash courts, basketball courts, and more. Take a campus photo tour.
- Intramural sports are popular among Larner College of Medicine students, and teams have gone on to win championships in several sports. Students are also involved in national organizations including AMWA (American Medical Women's Association) and AMSA (American Medical Student Association).
